Learn about Artist James T. Boujikian and his Army Football poster RIGHT HERE

Before each Army football game, more than 1,500 Max posters are printed by the Academy printing plant and distributed throughout the Academy. They go like hot cakes. People put them up on doors and walls and in more and more cases, into private "Max Collections" of Boujiklan work. Max posters have been sent to the White House.” - Poughkeepsie Jounral October 24, 1971

Things from the Desk of the Editor-in-Chief

  1. FOR EVERY HEART IN GRAY

SPICE UP YOUR WATCH PARTY we put together a few MESS HALL INSPIRED RECIPES with a special guest appearance by Queen.
MORE THAN 2,000 OLD GRADS have descended on West Point this weekend celebrate the REUNIONS of USMA 99, USMA 04, USMA 09 and USMA 14. We’ll be headed up next year as one half of the CADET team celebrate a reunion for the class of 2010. I imagine everyone will have a great time unless they are abruptly CALLED TO…CLEAR & STAGGER.

HOUR HYPE VIDEO as a proud member of the Century Club, I approve THIS VIDEO.

  2. A SPECIAL COLLABORATION - OCTOBER 9, 2019

WITH HIS TENNESSEE DRAWL AND LIGHT BLONDE HAIR that is how Rufus Hyman’s HOWITZER ENTRY begins and on October 9th at Arlington Cemetery CPT Rufus J. Hyman USMA 1948 will be interned with full honors (Old Chapel, Caisson, Escort and military clergy). The family has authorized the sharing of this information and extends an invitation for all to attend. The family has indicated that it would mean a great deal to them for members of the Long Gray Line to be there. As of now, CADET VOL III contributors Rick French USMA 1986, Kate Burgess USMA 1995 and myself will be documenting this incredible ceremony and important moment in Long Gray Line history. If you are around, come grip hands. You can read more about Rufus Hyman HERE.

  3. FOR YOUR EYEBALLS

SOMETIMES ITS RABBIT HOLES and once you go down them, if you pay attention, you can find some pretty remarkable stuff. Like this ANIMATED VIDEO by Christoph Nieman of an interview with Maurice Sendak. Its simply lovely. I started HERE.

  4. THE DESIGN OF THINGS

THE ART OF THE MASCOT HEIST this time HONORED TRADITION usually gets bad press. Especially this past week with the passing of some bird.

  8. WHAT I AM READING

CREATIVE LIVING IS AN ART FORM thats a pretty obvious statement. But what’s not obvious is THE ROLE DISCIPLINE AND STRUCTURE play in the creative life.

  9. BUH BYE
