PART 3: SOWING THE SEEDS OF VICTORY

PART 1: PREP WORK | PART 2: TAKE THE FIELD

Here we’ve gathered 7 accounts to pay attention to after Game Day in order to round out your Army Football week.

This list is not entirely exhaustive, so please let us know if we missed someone (journalist, photographer, podcast, etc) you feel is a can’t miss.

#1 - THE FINDINGS, OF FEINSTIEN

IMG_6817.jpeg

When it comes to writing about Army Football it’s hard to beat John Feinstein. He pens a weekly column that is a must for Army Football Fans.

Its a professional take from a man who has a way with words and is an honorary member of the Army Football Club - the programs illustrious alumni club.

#2 - THE IMAGE MAKERS

I, unapologetically, retain a soft spot for the image makers, so we’re not sticking to just one here, but if we are forced to suggest one, it would be DANNY WILD. Danny is prolific. Week in and week out Danny is right there to tell the visual story of Army Football. His dedication is comendable, his work ethic is honorable, and his skill set puts him firmly in the category of professional image maker.

But were not stopping there. Here’s a short list (if you’re viewing this on Twitter you may not see the buttons - so jump on over to your browser) of all the image makers we are paying attention to:

#3 - THE SUPERLATIVES

Many of the recommendations on this list fall into the category of being prolific. And as we said in PART 1 the fellas over at ASFORFOOTBALL are Army Football-oriented 7-days-a-week. But maybe our favorite thing they do is their weekly SUPERLATIVES.

This is fun and should be a part of your Army Football AAR.

#4 - ON THE BEAT WITH BLACK KNIGHT NATION

Sal Interdonato has covered the Army football beat since 2007 and has witnessed the resurrection of the program under Jeff Monken. He is the creator of “KnightCap,” a quick video recap following Black Knights football games. Interdonato’s Army football podcast placed third at the 2017 New York State Associated Press Association awards. His blog writing received the distinguished online Award of Excellence from the New York News Publishers Association.

He has also authored stories on Army baseball, lacrosse and wrestling.

#5 - CIC WATCH

We’re obligated to keep an eye on Navy. And apparently, Air Force now has a football team. AGAINST ALL ENEMIES and YARDS AND STRIPES are two options to keep you up-to-speed on all things CIC related.

Serioulsy though we have to be reminded to pay attention to Air Force, thanks guys.

#6 - TIMES HERALD RECORD

This is where we used to find Sal Interdonato. Now it’s JUSTIN FEDLICH at the helm. Excited to see what he brings to the table.

It’s great to support the local guys.

#7 - SONS OF AMERICAN LEGION RADIO

Get in on the post-game interviews with KEN KRAETZER and the Sons of American Legion. Each week they bring you an inside scoop and plenty of first hand interviews with players and coaches.
